Joseba Lopezortega <\/strong> Director of ZINEBI<\/em><\/p>\r\n ZINEBI is celebrating its 68th edition driven by the desire to cast the spotlight on the film industry and help it to continue to forge its own path. Conveying is to bring the works, the authorship and memory of films to the audience, with the same focus on someone seeing a film for the first time as on someone who is re-watching it years later. Programming is to look after that memory and to seed new ways of looking, interpreting and discussing. <\/p>\r\n\r\n The festival\u2019s programme, laboratories, and working and meeting spaces share the same goal \u2013 to support career paths and foster long-term professional relationships. This is how we understand its international reach and its capacity to broaden creative opportunities in and from Bilbao and the Basque Country. <\/p>\r\n\r\n A festival with the history and character of ZINEBI has the responsibility to be a responsive and dependable counterpart for professionals and institutions, to work with other festivals, schools and entities, and to contribute to the joint development of the audiovisual sector. <\/p>\r\n\r\n Our thanks go to our partner institutions and entities, to the selection committee and to the whole event team.
