Among the activities and screenings, the Festival has organised alongside the <strong>Ukrainian Institute<\/strong> \u2013 attached to the <strong>Ukraine\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs <\/strong>\u2013 and the <strong>International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, DocuDays UA<\/strong> \u2013 held every year in March in Kyiv \u2013 a special programme on Ukrainian films.\r\n\r\nThe programme, \u201c<strong>Focus Ucrania: Once I Was a Filmmaker, Now I Am a Soldier<\/strong>\u201d, will include the screening of <strong>three feature documentary films and three short films from Ukraine<\/strong> presented after the invasion of Ukraine\u2019s territory by the Russian army. Among them, \u201cMariupolis<em> 2<\/em>\u201d, which won the Special Jury Award in the documentary section at the last <strong>Cannes Festival<\/strong>, directed by <strong>Mantas Kvedaravi\u010dius<\/strong>, but finished by his partner <strong>Hanna Bilobrova<\/strong>, after <strong>the director was caught and murdered by Russian soldiers<\/strong> <strong>in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol<\/strong> on 2 April this year. The Lithuanian director, who was also a doctor in anthropology, wanted to reflect the reality of war in his film \u201cas far removed as possible from the hustle and bustle of communication media and politicians\u201d. Kvedaravi\u010dius, who met his death aged 45, had already filmed \u201cMariupolis\u201d (2016) in the city.\r\n\r\nIn Bilbao, <strong>directors and representatives of the institutions working with ZINEBI will present the contents of the programme and will discuss the critical situation the Ukrainian population is undergoing<\/strong> and, most particularly, the case of professionals working in the artistic and cultural sectors.\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n<strong><u>SESSIONS AT THE GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM IN BILBAO<\/u><\/strong>\r\n\r\nZINEBI will be scheduling <strong>three sessions in the Auditorium of Guggenheim Bilbao Museum <\/strong>on 13 and 15 November. A Ukrainian documentary short film and a feature film, produced after the Russian invasion, will be screened each session. The films selected for this programme are:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>\u201cLetter to a Turtledove\u201d (\u201c\u041b\u0418\u0421\u0422 \u0414\u041e \u0413\u041e\u0420\u041b\u0418\u0426\u0406\u201d, Dana Kavelina, 2020) (21 min)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201cOne Day in Ukraine\u201d (\u201c\u0414\u0415\u041d\u042c \u0423\u041a\u0420\u0410\u0407\u041d\u0421\u042c\u041a\u041e\u0413\u041e \u0414\u041e\u0411\u0420\u041e\u0412\u041e\u041b\u042c\u0426\u042f\u201d, Volodymyr Tykhyy, 2022) (78 min)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201cLiturgy of Anti-Tank Obstacles\u201d (Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk, 2022) (12 min)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201cMariupolis 2\u201d (Mantas Kvedaravi\u010dius &amp; Hanna Bilobrova, 2022) (110 min)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201cPeace and Tranquility\u201d (\u201c\u041c\u0418\u0420 \u0406 \u0421\u041f\u041e\u041a\u0406\u0419\u201d, Myro Klochko &amp; Anatoliy Tatarenko, 2022) (12 min)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201c Overcoming the Darkness\u201d (<span class=\"gmail-rynqvb\">Kinodopomoha<\/span> Collective, 2022) (70 min)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nBefore the films are screened on Sunday 13 November, <strong>representatives of institutions and the Ukrainian audiovisual industry<\/strong> will attend a public event in <strong>Azkuna Zentroa\u2019s Sala Bastida<\/strong> on 12 November.
