The cycle, which was drawn up by ZINEBI at the request of the German festival, came about thanks to the excellent relations between both festivals, and is entitled \u201c<strong>Focus Basque Country: Heterogeneous<\/strong> <strong>Landscapes\u201d.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nZINEBI\u2019s presentation of the programme for Germany was assisted by <strong>Etxepare Euskal Institutua, Kimuak and Basque Audiovisual (Zineuskadi <\/strong>\u2013 <strong>Basque Government)<\/strong>, and will be in three sessions composed of <strong>18 short films<\/strong> \u2013 documentaries, fiction, animation and experimental films produced in the Basque Country between 2014 and 2021. Polaroiska, 2018)<\/li>\r\n \t<li><em>Pl\u00e1gan<\/em> (Koldo Almandoz, 2017)<\/li>\r\n \t<li><em>Soroa<\/em> (Asier Altuna, 2014)<\/li>\r\n \t<li><em>Variaciones de Winterreise<\/em> (In\u00e9s Garc\u00eda, 2018)<\/li>\r\n \t<li><em>592 metroz goiti<\/em> (Maddi Barber, 2018)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nAlong with the director of ZINEBI, some directors will be presenting the sessions directly in situ at the Rhineland city\u2019s Kino Gloria.\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n<div class=\"fake-h2\"><h6><strong>THE LONGEST-STANDING SHORT FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/h6><\/div>\r\nFrom <strong>Martin Scorsese <\/strong>to<strong> Chris Marker <\/strong>or<strong> Krzysztof Kieslowski<\/strong>, and also <strong>\u00a0Agn\u00e8s Varda, Lindsay Anderson<\/strong>, <strong>Chantal Akerman and George Lucas<\/strong> (who took a prize in 1968 for <em>THX 1138 4 EB<\/em>), thousands of directors have presented their films over seven decades at the world\u2019s oldest short film festival.\r\n\r\nFounded in 1954, its programme has always been a benchmark for all the specialist events that emerged afterwards. Among which ZINEBI, which was founded in 1959 and which, like Oberhausen (and the Krakow Festival in Poland, and the Tampere Festival in Finland), is <strong>certified each year by the FIAPF Federation<\/strong> as one of the world\u2019s <strong>Class A<\/strong> festivals in the short film and documentary category.\r\n\r\n<strong>The Cradle of New German Cinema<\/strong>, it was this festival which, in 1962, led to the signature of the so-called \u201cOberhausen Manifesto\u201d by up-and-coming directors such as <strong>Alexander Kluge<\/strong> and <strong>Edgar Reitz<\/strong>, declaring their rejection of the conventionalism of the film industry in their country. This manifesto brought to the fore young filmmakers who blazed a trail with an innovative vision of German cinema in the 60s and 70s: among others, <strong>Werner Herzog<\/strong>, <strong>Jean-Marie Straub<\/strong> and <strong>Dani\u00e8le Huillet, Volker Schl\u00f6ndorff<\/strong>, <strong>Rainer W.
