Contributing to the strengthening of documentary production through the collaboration between European festivals, ZINEBI – International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao and the Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival, organized by the Creative Documentary Center of Kalamata, have scheduled the round discussion table: Claiming Freedom.
The Greek filmmakers and the Basque ones that directed Claiming Freedom (2022) as a collaboration documentary film, will discuss around the creative process of the film, as well as about the communication and collaboration experience during the 8th Peloponnese International Documentary Festival in April 2021, where they presented the progress of their work.
Greek filmmakers: Giorgos Danopoulos, Kalliopi Legaki and Ismini Sakellaropoulou, and Basque ones: Aleix Aguilà, Marisol Gil Antillano, Paula Gómez González, Marcos Urquijo Yáñez, along with Gina Petropoulpou, will take part of the reflection table. As said by Gina Petropoulpou (Peloponnisos Film Festival’s director), ZINEBI also wishes to keep promoting a fruitful collaboration and the documentary production of our two countries in the future.
