Recognised for her career as an actress, scriptwriter and director by being awarded the Mikeldi of Honour at the 63rd edition of ZINEBI, Margarethe von Trotta will hold a meeting with the Navarre director Helena Taberna and the Bilbao public in the auditorium of the Museo de Bellas Artes on Saturday 13th. At this session, there will also be a screening of the film that led to von Trotta becoming the first female filmmaker to be awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival: Marianne and Juliane (Die bleierne Zeit, 1981) which was premiered forty years ago.
